Turkish Large heads in stock
July 3/08: The addition of Tasmanian heads have been so popular we decided to offer Turkish Large heads as well. As with our Tasmanian heads, these are the same great pods just without the stem. Great for those special projects where a stem is not required. We expect to be fully stocked with all our varieties of dried poppy pods by the end of August. This includes the Colossus pods!! We are also looking into offering all our poppy pods with the option of no stems.

Now offering Tasmanian heads
Apr 29/08: We are now offering out Tasmanian medium poppy pods without stems. Sometimes dried flower arranging (such as wreaths) don't require the stems. With the stems already removed these pods are much more convenient. With an incredible price we are sure all our customers will love these pods!

Affiliate Program now available!
Apr 27/08: Over the years many fellow website owners have requested us to create an affilate program and we have finally finished integrating one into our shopping cart. Our program offers website owners to earn commission on sales without the general inconvenience of running a flower shop. Not only that but we offer a commission for all sales generated from sub affiliates. That means if you recommend our program to another website owner, we will pay you a commission on sales they generate! Ovalies out of stock
Apr 15/08: We have just run out of stock of our Ovalies pods and are almost out of Turkish Extra Large. We still have plenty of stock remaining of Turkish large and Tasmanian medium pods with a new shipment arriving in a few weeks. Although we are trying to locate some high quality pods to re-stock the extra large and ovalies, we may have to wait until the new harvest in August as we usually do not see the larger pods until later in the season. We should be receiving our shipment of Turkish medium pods in May. Thanks to all our customers!

Turkish Medium out of stock
Mar 03/07: We have just run out of stock of our Turkish medium pods. Although we are trying to secure some new stock, it looks like we might have to wait until our farm harvests in May before we can find this variety in the usual high quality. We are still fully stocked on Turkish Large and Extra Large pods. Also we still have quite a few Tasmanian Medium poppy pods available. The Tasmanian pods are very good this season with thick shells and even color.

New Stock has arrived!
Dec 03/07: Our shipment has arrived! We are now taking orders for Turkish Extra Large, Tasmanian Medium and Turkish Large pods. We have not had our extremely popular Tasmanian variety of pods for a long time. Thanks to everyone for being so patient. Although all the pods we have in stock are absolutley excellent, this years crop was not as favorable as we would have liked so we will not be getting any Colossus or Super Colossus pods. We will have to wait for the April harvest to see if we are able to grow any of these much demanded huge pods.

New Stock in transit!
Nov 24/07: Our new shipment has finally arrived at port and is now on a truck to our warehouse in Sacramento. The new shipment will bring Tasmanian medium, Turkish large and Turkish extra large. We have not had some of these products for a while and are happy to finally offer them again. We apologize to everyone for this shipments delay.

Jun 11/07: We have to make room for our new shipment of poppy pods. Every available poppy pod is on sale, most at the lowest price ever. Get yours while you can as these prices will not likely last long. Please note that during this sale our buy 3 get 1 free special will not be offered.

New poppy pods have arrived
May 24/07: We are happy to have received and start shpping the first of this seasons dried poppy pods. While the Ovalies and Turkish Medium pods are somewhat smaller than what we expect to see later in the season, they are of the same fantastic quality we have all come to expect. We thank all of our customers for being so patient while we waited for our crops to be harvested and dried. It was well worth the wait.

UPDATE: U.S. Warehouse stock in transit
May 21/07: The new shipment has taken longer in transit than we had hoped. However we are also receiving a shipment of the very rare Ovalies pods within the same time frame. These pods were outstanding last year and we are excited that these will be the same. Please check back soon as this shipment should be arriving any day.

U.S. Warehouse stock in transit
May 10/07: Our new seaon of poppy pods has finally been dried and packaged. The sample of dried poppy pods we received from our farm are fantastic. We are looking forward to a great season this year with no crop failures!! The first shipment will contain our very popular Turkish Extra Large with the extremely versatile Turkish medium and Tasmanian medium pods coming in 3-4 weeks. We expect to be fully stocked on all varieties of poppy pods by July or August.

U.S. Warehouse out of stock
April 2/07: As much as we tried to keep some stock in our U.S. warehouse, we have run out. We do have a new shipment scheduled for early May which will offer some more varieties than we have had lately. We will be emailing all of our customers when this shipment arrives, however we do recommend checking back often as we are always looking for more product.

Buy 3 get 1 free Turkish Extra Large!!
February 13/07: For the first time ever we are offering our buy 3 get 1 free special on our very popular Turkish extra large pods. We are stil trying to get in some other varieties but have not been successful in finding any pods that keep up with our usual high standards.

Canadian Stock
January 29/07: New stock is now available in our Canadian warehouse. We are still working on getting fully stocked but we have received Turkish Extra Large, Turkish Medium, Tasmanian Medium and Colossus pods. They are all of fantastic quality!

New Stock: Turkish Extra Large
January 3/07: We have just received new stock of our Turkish Extra Large pods. These pods are of the same batch as before but are slightly darker than we normally carry. We have updated our site with a new picture so there are no surprises to the looks of these pods. Thanks to all our dedicated customers for sticking with us through this season. We will continue to do our best to keep in the best stock available.

Price Change for Turkish Extra Large
December 13/06: Unfortunatley due to the lack of stock this season our supplier has significantly raised their prices. In order to keep some of these great pods in stock we have had to raise our prices accordingly. We hope to be able to reduce our prices once new stock becomes available in March - April.

Canadian Warehouse Stock
November 17/06: We have now added the stock from our Canadian warehouse onto the website. Please note that the stock listed on the Canadian section of the site can only be shipped to Canadian addresses due to increased problems with the border.

Shirley Taz extra small poppies
October 12/06: Some of our customers have written asking us to continue to sell the small poppies that were previously on our site. Since these came from a different farm we have changed the name and are selling them at a discounted price for anyone looking for a smaller pod to fill their arrangements. Please note that these dried poppy pods are not of the same quality of our other poppy pods, however with 250 pods in a case there is a good chance you will receive a fair amount of usable pods.

Taz small poppies removed
September 5/06: After receiving mixed reviews on the new shipment of tasmanian small pods, we have decided to remove them from our site until further notice.

Taz small poppies in stock
August 31/06: We managed to receive a small amount of tasmanian small poppy pods from our farm. They are a bit smaller than our customers are used to (average .5") but are the same great quality tasmanian pods. Unfortunatley due to the very small amount of these pods we will not be offering the 4 box special. We are still expecting to receive more of all our pods in the coming weeks.

Stock
August 19/06: Due to the overwhelming popularity of our dried poppy pods, we are currenty out of stock with the exception of our Turkish Extra Large pods. We are hoping to have more stock arriving sometime this month and fully stocked by the end of September. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Taz smalls
June 27/06: We have just received our shipment of Tasmanian small poppy pods. They are now ready to ship. Please note that this is a new shipment and differ slightly from our previous pods. We will gt a picture up to reflect the current stock as soon as possible.

U.S. Shipping Resumed
June 23/06: After 2 months we have finished setting up our warehouse in Sacramento California. Now all our products will only go through customs when they are shipped from our farms to our warehouse. Although it was a very rare case, our customers will no longer have to deal with the possibilities of packages being held at customs. We would like to thank all of our loyal customers for sticking with us through the last couple of months. You can expect to receive the same excellent service you have come to expect from Poppies Shop. Please note that orders must be received by 12:00pm EST to be shipped the same business day.

U.S. Shipping
April 20/06: Recently a few of our packages were seized by U.S. customs. Since then all packages of dried flowers leaving our warehouse for the United States are being held. We have been in contact with the customs agents and are doing everything possible to have these packages released. However, until this problem is solved we have stopped shipping our dried flowers to the U.S. We apologize for this inconvenience and thank all of our customers for their patience. We hope to be able to resume service soon.

Taz small
April 3/06: We are currently out of small tasmanian pods. We are expecting a new shipment in a week or two so please check back then if you are interested in these fantastic pods.

New stock coming soon
March 28/06: The new seasons stock is currently being dried and prepared. We will be receiving new stock in the coming weeks for most of our products and the remainder in a couple of months. Please check back soon as we will be updating our product pictures to reflect the new stock when it arrives.

Taz small 4 box special
March 28/06: Unfortunatley we are running low on stock of our Tasmanian small pods. To be sure everyone has a chance to still order these fantastic pods, we have had to remove the 4 box special. We will be receiving our new shipment of these pods in a few weeks. We will then be offering the same great special. Please keep in mind that the remaining stock is still the same great quality as you have come to expect from these pods. We still have the same quality control and will not ship an inferior product because we are low on stock.

Small poppy pods in stock
June 13/05: We are now fully stocked with Tasmanian small poppy pods. From the same strain as last year, yet much larger. These young poppy pods are gorgeous with a purplish color and long stem. As with all our poppy pods they ship daily with seeds intact.

Ovalies out of stock
Apr 26/05: We are currently out of stock on our Ovalies pods. We are hoping to get some sooner but at this time we do not expect another shipment until mid summer. We apologise for the inconvenience.

Tasmanian Medium to Large out of stock
Apr 4/05: We are currently out of stock on our Tasmanian medium to large pods. We are hoping to get some sooner but at this time we do not expect another shipment until mid summer. We apologise for the inconvenience however we do still have plenty of stock on the Tasmanian medium pods.

Ovalies & Specials
Mar 7/05: Ovalies are back in stock!!! That's right, the pods you loved so much before are back and are as beautiful as ever. We are not sure how long our stock will last but are expecting another shipment of them late this summer. Also, we had such a great response from our Turkish special that we extended it to our Tasmanian and Ovalies pods. Be sure to check to have a look at all of our poppies specials

Buy 3 Turkish Medium
Feb 18/05: We are currently offering our buy 3 get one free special of Turkish medium pods. These are an excellent all around pod for your arrangements and our new stock is highly recommended. Be sure to check our poppy specials often as the deals change often.

Poppy Coins out of stock
Feb 18/05: We are sorry to say that we have run out of the limited edition poppy coins. They will no longer be included with orders of poppy pods.

Poppy Coins
Nov 17/04: We have been asked some questions about the poppy coin that was released by the royal canadian mint to honor war veterans. After some research into the matter we found that we could actually get our hands on some. We thought it would be nice to offer these to our customers free of charge with any full box purchase of pods (while quantities last of course). They are sealed in a protective case with a magnet so they can be easily attached to your fridge or any other metal surface. They are quite attractive looking as you can see on our home page. They are a limited production coin and the first colored coin to go into circulation. Who knows...they may be worth something someday.

Super Giants
Nov 10/04: We just received our shipment of Super Colossus poppy pods. For everyone who wrote and said our regular Colossus pods were the largest they've seen...you haven't seen anything yet!! Averaging 1/2" - 1" larger than our Colossus pods, these are huge. We are sure they are the largest available anywhere especially from a Canadian supplier such as ourselves. We can't even fit them into our boxes so for now we are only offering them in boxes of 50 instead of our regular 100 box size. We have already ordered more but supply is limited so we do recommend giving them a try before they are gone.

New Poppy Pods have arrived!
Oct 26/04: We just received a new batch of Colossus poppy pods. These pods are larger than our last batch with a bit more color to them. We also received some very large Turkish pods. Almost as large as the Colossus and bigger than our popular Tasmanian medium to large pods. These are an excellent value considering the material received. Stay tuned for more products arriving shortly including some enormous pods. We received a sample of them from our grower and the only word we have to describe it is "beautiful".

Half Boxes of Poppy Pods
Sep 20/04: Some of our customers requested that we make smaller quantities available so for a limited time we are offering half boxes on all our poppy pods. We hope this will allow our customers to mix and match their pods easier and allow for new customers to try a smaller quantity and experience our top quality products.
