Poppies are the fabric holding some lovers together. Young Greek girls would test the fidelity of their lovers
by placing a Poppy petal in the palm of their hand which when sharply struck would hopefully make a large cracking sound. If
the cracking occurred it signified sincerity, if it merely ripped it would signify unfaithfulness.
